Travel Cuba With Us is a husband-wife duo who live in both Cuba and the United States.

Owned and operated by Vanessa K. Harper and Alejandro Berroa, Travel Cuba With Us provides quality, personalized cultural immersion experiences that directly support the Cuban people. They offer a unique perspective and have close family and community ties that allow guests intimate insights into the country’s complex layers. Travel Cuba creates customized individual or group itineraries for solo travelers as well as expertly crafted group experiences that you won’t often find with larger tour companies, such as intimate artist studio visits, rural farm adventures, photography workshops with award-winning photographers, and their signature Cuba Yoga Retreats program – an immersion experience that physically, spiritually, and culturally engages guests both on and off the mat.

Alejandro is a translator and interpreter of language fluent in Spanish, English. and French. A Cuban native with experience working as a tour guide across the island for more than 15 years, he has worked with guests visiting Cuba from all over the world. Vanessa K Harper, a native of North Carolina, has lived, researched, and worked in Cuba since 2005. Together they lead tours across the country, facilitate non-political collaborative agreements between U.S. and Cuban institutions, and participate in a variety of humanitarian projects in and around Havana.

They are co-founders of Support the Cuban People, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides humanitarian aid to the Cuban people, fosters Cuban artists & culture, and provides grants for established and emerging micro-entrepreneurs. They are also oral historians who spend hot summers in Cuba collecting life histories of Cuban loved ones and other individuals in an effort to preserve these stories and one day share them within and beyond Cuba’s borders.
